Walkthrough Guide

How to use Trading Hub

Trading Hub turns raw market data into ranked, calibrated, regime-aware actions — and shows you exactly how well it has predicted in the past. This guide is the map: what each section does, how to read the Cockpit, how the scoring works, and which page to open for what. New here, or coming back after a while? Start with the tour.

Jump straight to the Cockpit →

Your first 5 minutes

A single read-then-act loop. Top to bottom, this is the fastest path from "market's open" to "I know what to do."

  1. Open the Cockpit. It's now the home page. The regime strip at the top tells you the macro weather; the synthesis line underneath translates it into one plain-English sentence.
  2. Read Best Actions Now (top-left panel). These are the highest-conviction, calibration-checked moves right now — each tagged with a tier and a calibration chip so you know how much to trust it.
  3. Scan Market-Wide Movers and Trending (middle column) to see what the whole market is doing beyond your watchlist.
  4. Check the Risk Gauges and Calibration Trust (right column) before sizing anything — VaR, correlation shock, drawdown, and how well the model has actually been calibrated lately.
  5. Look up any ticker with Ctrl+K (or the ⌕ button) → opens the unified Security view: composite score, evidence, signal breakdown, and forecast in one place.

The six sections

The top navigation is organized around your workflow, not by feature. Left to right is roughly the order you'd use them in a session. Each section's name links to its landing page.

Reading the Cockpit

The Cockpit is laid out in three columns — Act (left), Market (middle), and Risk & Trust (right). Here's what every panel is telling you.

Regime strip + synthesis line

The macro "weather report." A quadrant badge — GOLDILOCKS, REFLATION, STAGFLATION, or DEFLATION — plus the key macro reads, and a one-sentence synthesis that joins the live regime to the model's posture. This frames everything below it.

Best Actions Now  ·  Watchlist

The headline output: the top-ranked actions right now, each with a tier chip (Strong Buy → Strong Sell), a calibration chip (how trustworthy that call is given recent accuracy), and a score bar. Your Watchlist sits underneath for the names you're tracking.

Market-Wide Movers  ·  Trending (Auto-Discovered)

Context beyond your watchlist: the biggest moves scanned across the full universe, and an auto-discovered set of names the system thinks are worth a look right now.

Risk Gauges

Four dials before you size anything: VaR (value-at-risk), Corr Shock (correlation-spike risk), Drawdown, and Prescience (the system's current forward-looking confidence).

Validated Insights  ·  Foresight Engine  ·  Calibration Trust

The trust column. Validated Insights are deterministic joins of the 33k-record analytics history with the live regime — every row is a pure function, no guessing. Foresight shows the model's measured out-of-sample Brier vs. the baselines. Calibration Trust shows the live posteriors — how often each tier actually pays off. Together these tell you how much weight to put on the calls above.

Annual Outlook · Portfolio Sizing · Calibration Timeline Diagnostic

Marked [DIAGNOSTIC] on purpose — these are exploratory views, not signals to trade off directly. Useful for context; not the primary decision surface.

Morning Brief

A plain-language daily summary that pulls the threads above into a short read for the start of your session.

How the engine scores

Three ideas do most of the work. You don't need the math to use the platform, but knowing the vocabulary makes every panel readable.

TierWhat it means
Strong BuyHighest-conviction long. Multiple factors agree and recent calibration supports the call.
BuyPositive edge, lower conviction than Strong Buy.
HoldNo clear edge either way. Genuinely neutral — not a hidden default.
Sell / Strong SellNegative edge; the mirror of Buy / Strong Buy.

Regime-aware

The same factor can be bullish in one macro regime and bearish in another. Scores are conditioned on the live quadrant (the badge in the regime strip), so weightings shift with the market's weather.

Calibration & Brier

A calibrated "70%" should hit ~70% of the time. The Brier score measures that (lower is better). Calibration chips and the Trust column tell you whether a call's stated confidence has been earned recently.

Calibration methodology → · Live calibration →

Prescience (forward-looking)

Beyond "what scores well now," the foresight layer estimates forward edge out-of-sample and reports its measured Brier vs. baselines — so improvement is proven, not asserted.

The 5-gate playbook

Before a name becomes an action it passes a sequence of gates (edge, calibration, risk, regime fit, and confirmation). That's why Best Actions is shorter than Movers — it's already filtered.

Playbook (5 gates) → · Scoring →

Reading convergence vs. divergence. When several independent engines point the same way, conviction is high — that's what Signal Confluence ranks. When they disagree, that divergence is itself information (and often a setup). The Validated Insights and Confluence views are where to read both.
