Movers — Intraday Window

Multi-window analytics + cohort summaries across the THv2 curated equity + ETF universe (85 tickers, 13 cohorts). 30m/1h/2h/4h deltas computed from the same bar series — see acceleration without extra API cost. Sibling to the daily 8AM/4:30PM /movers page (which is by-design daily-cadence).

Diagnostic surface — NOT a Brier-validated signal. Short-window returns have low SNR (Lo-MacKinlay 1990); a 2h gap-up can be noise as easily as edge. Acceleration tag (accelerating/fading/reversing) is heuristic. Cross-asset regime is informational per Signal-Confluence-Matrix T0; treat as context, not direction. Tagged [DIAGNOSTIC-pending-Brier-N≥30-validation] per Pre-Launch Validation T0.

How this works

For each ticker in the curated 85-ticker universe (data/movers-intraday-universe.json), fetches 5–30min OHLCV bars from Yahoo's /v8/finance/chart endpoint, then computes deltaPct = (last_close − close_at_window_ago) / close_at_window_ago × 100 at the canonical multi-window set {30m, 1h, 2h, 4h} from the same bar series. Window selection walks back from the last non-null close to the first bar at or before lastTs − N×60 minutes. Acceleration tag compares 30m delta to the older portion of the primary window (sign-match + magnitude ratio, heuristic). Cohort summaries group rows by manifest groups (megacap_tech, sector_etfs, etc) → mean/median/leader/laggard per cohort. Cross-asset regime flag composes SPY direction × VXX direction per Signal-Confluence-Matrix T0.

Composition with THv2 substrate: When window.THV2.scoresByTicker contains a record for a top-row ticker (i.e., the cockpit has scored it), this page surfaces the composite tier as a chip. When window.THV2.SignalConfluence resolves and the ticker has both prescience and mosaic sides, surfaces the confluence state. Both are graceful no-op when substrate is empty (cold-load) — never displays fake signal data.

Why this isn't on the cockpit by default: THv2's quant prior is that 2h-window SNR is too low for action — the daily /movers 8AM/4:30PM cadence reflects that. This page exists for ad-hoc "what's moving + how is it moving + which cohort is leading" inquiry without claiming signal value. Methodology hash: movers-intraday-window-2026-05-08-v3.
